Pool Filters

Pool filters keep your swimming pool crystal clean while you enjoy your swim.  There are three types of pool filters:  D.E. filters, sand filters, and cartridge filters. 

D.E. filters are ideal for residential swimming pools and provide the best water clarity.  D.E. filters use regularly replaced diatomaceous earth as the filtration medium.

Sand filters are best for heavily used commercial pools.  Sand filters use silica sand or zeolite to filter water.  Compared to D.E., silica or zeolite are only replaced to compensate for losses during backwash.  Sand filters have lower operational costs than D.E. filters.

Cartridge filters have replaceable filter elements.  Filter cartridges can be washed manually for reuse.  Oversized cartridge filters are ideal for easier maintenance  and saving water.
